A kenduri vendor directory in Malaysia — Kendurilah

The business

Kendurilah is my own kenduri and wedding-vendor directory product. It is live with city pages and listings for caterers, canopy providers, wedding dais specialists and halls.

The problem

Planning a celebration means finding options that fit the town and the occasion. A useful listing needs more than a vendor name: customers need the town, category, package and price to decide whether to make contact.

Kendurilah started with overlooked towns. The aim was to give local vendors a place to be found, with real information for customers to browse. That meant building around actual listings, packages and prices rather than filling search pages with no useful options behind them.

What I built

I designed and developed a directory where customers can browse vendors in towns such as Tumpat, Baling and Dungun. Listings bring together town and category information with package details and prices.

Customers can compare options for their celebration, reveal a vendor's number and start a conversation directly on WhatsApp. The directory earns that contact by showing the information needed to decide whether a vendor is worth asking about.

The contact flow uses click-to-reveal numbers to discourage scraping. Per-listing click tracking measures interest in individual listings. These are separate functions: one shapes how contact details are exposed, while the other records interest in the listing.

What it does for the business

For local vendors, the directory provides a place to be found alongside their town, category and package information. For customers, it puts those details together before the conversation moves to WhatsApp.

As a wedding vendor listing website, Kendurilah keeps the route to the vendor direct. Customers do not need to treat the directory as the party confirming their celebration arrangements. Every conversation continues with the vendor, who confirms availability and prices.

That boundary is important. A listed package helps someone compare options, but it is not a guaranteed booking. Per-listing tracking measures interest, not completed events or confirmed sales. The project makes no claim that a click has become an order.

Stack & notes

Kendurilah is self-hosted and static. The documented scope includes directory design and development, vendor listings, WhatsApp contact flows and per-listing click tracking. The listing screenshot comes from the live directory and shows town and category tags, package snippets and contact buttons.

This is a directory, not a booking platform. Availability and prices are confirmed directly with each vendor. Click-to-reveal contact details discourage scraping; they are not described as a guarantee that scraping is impossible.
